The Hermes Spacecraft is in the news again, this time in the East Valley Tribune. Check out the link because there are some great photos and a video on the web article, but you can also read some of the text below:
Intel has published an article about the Hermes Spacecraft and Morris Jarvis' passion behind it. An intel newsman came out to our shop and spent half the day talking to Morris. Check out the article and the video in it!
Recently we took the Hermes Spacecraft out to Falcon Field Air Show on April 2nd, 2011. We had a great time out there and received a lot of exciting and positive feedback about the Hermes Spacecraft! We had a few engineers and enthusiasts offer their services and expertise, and had a couple of people from different newspapers/magazines interested in doing some articles about us. Overall, a successful outing! Our photographer, Jeff Wilson, took some great photographs too! Check them out in our Gallery.
Ken Smerz and his guys at Precision 3D Scanning met us out at Falcon Field to create a 3D scan of the Hermes Spacecraft. From their website: "Using laser technology, light is emitted from a stationary scanner. The time between the moment that light is released and the moment it returns is measured and used to create an extremely accurate cloud of data points. "
Much like STAR Systems, the Hermes Website has been re-launched! Our old site, while very professional and atheistically appealing, was difficult to maintain and not formatted well for today's interactive audience. Please be patient while we work out all the kinks in our new system. We'll be adding images, videos, news articles and other content as often as we can to keep you in the loop.
It's our goal to keep our supporters, sponsors donators and volunteers informed with everything we do. You are all a part of this journey with us. Thank you for your continued support!
